Robert "Bob" B. Werkowski, 91, husband of the late Barbara G. (Bothwick) Werkowski, passed peacefully on Oct. 15, 2025, in Bangor. He was born May 26, 1934, in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of John and Mary (Gilmartin) Werkowski.

Bob quit high school at the age of 17 to join the U.S. Air Force in June of 1951 as an aircraft mechanic. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Korea and Vietnam, and served more than 20 years retiring as a master sergeant. Following his military service, he worked another career at Brake Service & Parts in Bangor as store operations manager. Bob and Barbara enjoyed their retirement years wintering in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
